Health Program Specialists plan, develop, implement and evaluate health services and activities; develop goals, objectives, program requirements and procedures; provide technical information regarding specialized health related conditions; and participate and provide support to various committees, advisory boards and other work groups.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
The position also provides technical assistance to sub-granted local agencies for the Forensic Assessment Services Triage Team (FASTT) and Mobile Outreach Safety Team (MOST) programming.
Significant knowledge of the FASTT and MOST program is beneficial as this position will also conduct site-monitoring as well as technical assistance for law enforcement and court programs.

Effective engagement and application of communication skills with individuals from diverse subpopulations, including those representing various racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds.
