JOB
Summary:
The Behavioral Health Technician is an integral part of our team who assist in the day-to-day operations and coordination of the facility and support and monitor our clients.
This includes routine supervision, assist in completing intake and discharge process, monitoring whereabouts, guiding patients to groups and activities, and other duties as required.
PAY DOE.
Must be able to pass a pre-empoloyment drug screen.
JOB DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Monitors the activities and behavior of patients on the unit.
Assists Intake Coordinator with intakes and discharges Communicate concerns and observations to clinical and administrative staff Communicate and enforces facility program rules Monitors and enforces assigned client chores and rules Accurately records and reports client whereabouts, behaviors, medication received, and vital sign readings.
Responds to emergencies as necessary.
Follows CCCs policy and procedures Reporting back on client's progress and concerns Alerting medical staff and other admin staff to intervene emergencies Orient new patients to the program and facility Completes checks on all patients throughout assigned shift Encourages each patient's achievement of treatment goals.
Performs general clerical office duties as assigned Takes inventory of needed supplies, orders if necessary Transport clients to approved activities or appointments.
Escorts clients for meals, appointments, or other related activities Performs clerical duties, answering telephones, relaying messages, and copying materials at the direction of a counselor or administrative staff member.
Required to be CPR certified.
Can obtain upon during orientation Follows Code of Ethics Must comply with confidentiality requirements as set forth in CFR42 Part I & II.
Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Minimum of one (1) years' experience in a drug recovery, mental health or recovery work setting or equivalent educations/work experience Ability to maintain appropriate relationships and boundaries with clients Ability to work independently and problem solve in stressful situations Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Must have a valid driver's license CPR certified (or the ability to obtain during orientation) Exhibits good people skills, telephone skills, and communication skills General understanding of Computers, Word, Excel and EHR systems EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
