Summary Responsible for patient meal tray set up, production of cold food items and snacks for patient and cafeteria meal service, late trays, sanitation of designated areas, customer service, cashier responsibilities, answering the telephone and taking messages.
Will use rethermalization ovens to provide a clean and accommodating cafeteria atmosphere.
Responsibilities Accurate in meal service setup, garnishing and attractively arranging food.
Complete cold food production prior to next meal service.
Consistently delivers meals and snacks to patients according to specified schedule.
Delivers late trays and catering.
Supports performance improvement and quality monitoring.
Is active in performance improvement activities related to customer service.
Perform cashiering, stocking, and holiday decorating responsibilities in Cafeteria.
Displays a customer comes first attitude.
Seeks customer input.
Empathizes with customers and proactively seeks resolution to their concerns.
Maintains temperature logs of cold foods served on Patient Tray line and cafeteria.
Corrects temperature problems if not found adequate.
o Accomplishes routine and priority tasks.
Anticipates projects and seeks out other department members for direction to assure project runs smoothly.
Comply with standards of sanitation and safety and HAACP regulatory guidelines in kitchen and cafeteria.
Produces gift baskets for OB patients, makes and delivers patient late trays and support catering production and service.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent.
One-year prior food service and public contact experience.
Preferred Serve Safe Certification.
