Position Description:
We are looking for a Construction Project Manager to oversee/take responsibility for various types of commercial and industrial construction projects.
Candidates will work closely with the superintendent, project owner/stakeholders, designers, and subcontractors through pre-construction to project completion.
Project types and sizes will vary from new buildings to tenant improvements with values ranging from $100,000 to $5 million plus.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Work with the Superintendent to establish and maintain short-term and master project schedules.
Manage all phases of commercial construction projects to include pre-construction, budgeting, planning, and close-out.
Ability to create project cost estimates.
Lead and enable the project team to clearly define and hit project milestones and target dates.
Work with the clients, designers, and stakeholders to establish and maintain expectations through the construction process.
Review and understand drawings, submittals, and specifications.
Meet with and provide project/schedule updates to stake holders, trade partners, and project team (designers, engineers etc.
).
Communicate, mitigate, and resolve project conflicts and issues that affect project progress and cost.
Distribute and understand owner and subcontractor contracts.
Other Duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of construction process, and subcontractor scopes.
Minimum 2
years Experience Relevant experience in a management role running projects and project teams.
Understanding of building codes and applications.
Valid drivers license.
Leadership/Management skills- communicates clearly and concisely.
Excels in problem solving and organization.
Has and maintains a positive attitude.
Works well in a team setting, whether as a leader or member of a team.
Highly self-motivated and driven.
Experience in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
