Responsibilities:
Develop and produce wireless communication plans within the context of changing operational scenarios to support Autonomous Haulage implementation operation at Cortez Open Pit.
Responsible for the deployment, diagnosis, maintenance and repair of the Autonomous network and associated hardware and software.
Maintain routers, switches, and wireless technologies.
Work with various IT team members to resolve network issues.
Work with mine operations team to ensure reliability of autonomous network.
Plan network expansions to ensure continuous full coverage in operations area.
Optimize autonomous network to ensure all equipment is able to maintain communication with the network at all times with required data transfer rates.
Develop network documentation and standards.
Develop alternative mine plan scenarios and analyze project sensitivities throughout NGM Open Pits.
Provide project Communication internally to various project stakeholders.
Participate in evaluation of all Technology solutions regarding Safety and Health Risk, Production Risk, and Sustained Feasibility.
Ensure a Safe and Environmentally responsible project implementation with all staff, consultants, and contractors Ensure adherence to the project budget, forecasts, and reporting cadences.

Qualifications:
Accredited post-secondary education (a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical/Electrical/ Chemical/Mining or related field) will be considered as experience, amount depending on nature and extent required Ten (10) years practical experience in technical design of wireless networks and RF design required Five (5) years practical experience operating a high-availability operation-critical communications network required Five (5) years practical experience in a leadership or technical services role within an open pit mining environment required Demonstrated safety leadership capability for both self and team required Excellent leadership, people, and communication skills to act as a Change Agent required Exhibit outstanding verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational skills, and analytical skills required Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project rrequired Proficient with emerging technology adoption preferred Project management experience preferred Other factors that will be considered are employee performance, length of service, and work history What We Can Offer You A comprehensive compensation package including a competitive medical, dental, and vision plan with national provider networks, a 401k retirement plan with employer contribution AND employer match, paid time off, company-sponsored medical clinics, company match share purchase program, and much more!
