Only qualified Senior System Administrator candidates local to Carson City, NV will be considered as the role is onsite. Must be eligible to work for Rose on W2 basis


The CLIENT services seek a System Administrator and DBA team member. Looking for an individual skilled in multiple areas of IT to assist the Operations Center with tasks, in support of ongoing projects and development efforts.


Required Experience and Skills:

Requires 3
years of experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server installation, maintenance, and support.

3
years of experience with IBM DB2 database installation, maintenance, and support

3
years of experience with IBM FileNet maintenance and support

3
years IBM Data cap maintenance and support including but not limited to Task Master, Rule Runner, and associated IIS components.

3
years of experience with IBM MQ maintenance and support

3
years of experience with command line shells bash and KSH, and scripting.

Experience with other IBM / WebSphere products.

Experience with Perforce Helix Core

Experience with CA Workload Automation


The chosen candidate will be required to work a standard 8:
00 am to 5:
00 pm shift as well as support additional activities both after hours and on weekends, as necessary to achieve project deadlines.


Senior Systems Administrator
Summary:

Assisting system administrators with applying patches to and upgrading middleware components of the CLIENT environment including but not limited to WebSphere Application Server, IBM MQ, FileNet, and DB2.

Assisting with FileNet suite management, cleanup, and FileNet security policy as it applies to scanning of sensitive documents.

Support vendor staff as they continue to work on projects including configuration of WebSphere family of products, requests for log reviews, assistance with troubleshooting, and service and/or server restarts.


The Senior Systems Administrator must have the skillset to provide the following for each of the projects or activities they will be assigned to do:

System Documentation:
Responsible for assisting CLIENT system and database administrators with creating and maintaining system documentation for active projects, systems, databases, and development efforts already in progress.

System Administration:
Responsible for assisting CLIENT System Administrators with various tasks including but not limited to installing middleware and applying fix packs.

Responsible for assisting with monitoring application servers, web servers, file servers, content repositories, and various middleware.

Database Administration:
Responsible for assisting CLIENT DBAs with various tasks including but not limited to creating, monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing existing databases.

Performance Tuning:
Responsible for, in whole or in part, ensuring that systems and databases are performing optimally.

Duties may include monitoring system and database performance using agency-provided tools, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to improve performance.

Training and Support:
Responsible for assisting CLIENT staff by creating training materials, conducting training sessions and providing ongoing support to junior CLIENT System Administrators and DBAs in areas of expertise where skill gaps exist and align with the candidate's experience.

Weekly Work activity Log:
Required to keep a weekly work log of activities performed by the contractor throughout the engagement.

Weekly status meetings will be held to review the work activity log, accomplishments, challenges, and goals.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
