About the Agency
This position is located in a Division office of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
You will serve as the Transportation Assistant, providing transportation program-related support and assistance to the Division Administrator and staff by answering oral and written inquiries from the public and motor carriers regarding Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR) and procedures, Hazardous Materials Regulations, and Commercial Driver's License programs, providing interpretation of regulations/procedures; researching and interpreting Federal regulations; monitoring, tracking and maintaining specialized FMCSA transportation safety related databases; and developing statistical transportation program-related reports.
This position is perfect for a new or mid-career administrative professional who is looking for excellent benefits. The ideal candidate should possess strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail and a highly developed customer service ethic.
