Position
Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to gather key requisite business and technical information, developing storage architecture, and designing, implementing, and configuring storage products. This position will develop storage solutions based on analysis of client's business and technical requirements.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Installs and upgrades storage solutions
Installs and configures various software packages
Orders and installs patches and fixes (PTFs)
Configures and documents software, hardware and service solutions to meet customer and sales objectives
Performs problem analysis, documentation, root-cause analysis, and creation of incident reports
Troubleshoots, problem resolution, maintenance, and support
Performs cost analysis and technical reviews of customer environments
Requirements
Position Requirements
Basic Qualifications -
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
At least three (3) years experience with SAN Storage solutions, to include one or more of the following: Netapp hardware and software, FlexPOD, VMAX, VBlock, VNX, Isilon, VPLEX
Other Position Requirements
VNX Unified Storage Management Certification
Demonstrated Network backup (Netbackup, TSM, Legato, etc) skills
Experience with FibreChannel SAN architecture/Design/Implementation
Architecture, implementation, and migration experience with EMC and NetApp storage arrays
Experience with SDRF
Experience with Switch (such as Cisco/Brocade/McData) as it relates to a SAN
Experience leading technology projects in support of business initiatives
Demonstrated communication and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
Storage Based Replication technology (Global Mirror/SRDF/SnapMirror, etc.)
Manufacturer certifications
EMC Implementation Engineer Certification
NetApp NCDA/NCIE/etc. certification
Storage subsystem implementation experience on EMC and NetApp arrays
Recoverpoint, FAST-VP, Open Replicator/Migrator, Replication Manager, Unisphere, CLI, PowerPath, ControlCenter, SMC, SPA, and other EMC software experience
Essential Functions
The position exists to provide technical consulting solutions to customers and as such requires the ability to travel to and from customer sites and interact with customers on an ongoing and regular basis.
