Supply Technician, GS-2005-07 (MPP)(FR)

Serves as a supply technician, providing technical support in property and warehouse management for the Lahontan Basin Area Office (LBAO). Provides for the control, use and disposal of property and materials. Performs annual physical inventories of capitalized and personal property. Maintains current records on each employee designated as custodial officer, with details of assigned accountable property. Provides for the control, receipt, issue, storage, inventory, and disposal of warehoused items. Warehouse accountability, storage, inventory control, shipping and receiving. Analyzes and plans warehouse storage on the basis of handling problems, stock turnover, receiving, physical characteristics of the building and safety considerations. Receives supplies and equipment delivered to the Area Office and the warehouse. Reviews received supplies and equipment against bills of lading, contracts, purchase requests, and shipping documents. Applicants must have one year of specialized experience or additional education as defined below:

GS-07:
Experience in performing supply and property related duties such as property acquisition and receipt; property or supply inventory and storage; issuing supplies and equipment; lost or damaged property, or disposal of excess property. Experience using computer applications and systems to complete property or supply actions such data entry or error correction within an inventory system or similar; generating property or supply reports; reconstructing supply transaction records or supply record searches. Experience in reviewing or tracking supply or property related documents. These examples are not all inclusive.Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
